I am an advocate of great design and accessibility in everything to do with the web and believe that great web sites need simplicity at their core in both design and function. Oh and a little in ♥ with Apple and Google.

Trillions ... just how big is that
I came across this video today and it just re-enforced how far we still have to go.
Today we sit here contemplating how to use facebook to reach our customers, being dazzled by its user base. But isn't it more interested to imagine our products (IPv6?) telling us about our customers and finding ways of using that to tailor our products for them in ways we can't even begin to imagine yet.
What story could this can have told you as a brand manager?
Will the social graph still be relevant? Yes. But will it be as important as everyone is saying today? No, I don't think so (privacy will never go away). Yes it is here to stay, just as search is here to stay. But what is next? What besides the obvious computing power, database technology and languages will we need to be able to harness all this data that trillions of computers will bring us?
Now that is worth dreaming about!
