I am an advocate of great design and accessibility in everything to do with the web and believe that great web sites need simplicity at their core in both design and function. Oh and a little in ♥ with Apple and Google.

Location data on the iPhone

Do I care that this information is being gathered by Apple. No. I would have liked to have know, but then no one discloses what they gather about you. The mobile networks have always had this information about you. I used it in aggregated forms to do some clever stuff with traffic flows down roads and other things, at least 8 years ago. So why the interest? Is it because someone discovered the poster boy of tech was doing it to?

But lets move on if I had to ask for my data from the phone network, they could give this to me, but getting anything from a network operator is difficult - but can also be very interesting. What would you learn about yourself if you could play back you life like this

Is my phone data interesting? Not to you, but for me, yes, it took me down memory lane about my trip at the beginning of the year with my son to the Orange river and Augrbie Falls in flood.

Thanks Apple.
